Porsche Unveils Limited 911 GT3 Touring Earls Court 51 Edition

To celebrate 75 years since the debut of the 356 in the UK, Porsche has introduced the 911 GT3 Touring Earls Court 51 Edition, limited to just 51 units. Priced at £251,951 (approximately $335,095), each package includes exclusive accessories and a unique design inspired by the original model.

Celebrating 75 Years in the UK

Porsche Cars GB is commemorating the 75th anniversary of its first UK showing at the Earls Court Motor Show in October 1951, where the 356 coupe and convertible were unveiled. The UK has since become Porsche's fourth-largest market globally.

To mark this milestone, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur in Stuttgart has produced 51 units of the 911 GT3 Touring Earls Court 51 Edition, with a starting price of £251,951 (approximately $335,095). Each purchase includes a matching Porsche Design chronograph, a leather weekender bag, and a scale model of the car.

Unique Features of the Earls Court 51 Edition

The limited edition is based on the standard 911 GT3 with the Touring Package, which replaces the standard fixed rear wing with a more understated appearance. Maintaining the output of 502 horsepower, the model distinguishes itself with its exclusive Earls Court Green metallic finish, inspired by the original 356’s color. Inside, the cabin features a blend of corduroy and leather in Night Green and Chalk Beige.

An embossed silhouette of a 356 on the driver’s door, along with the phrase "driving in its purest form," directly connects the new model to Porsche's heritage in the UK. Additionally, Porsche has restored a 1951 356 to visually harmonize with its modern counterpart, showcasing the brand's dedication to its history.

Investment in the UK Market

The launch of the Earls Court 51 Edition coincides with a larger investment strategy in Porsche's UK dealer network, which now includes 49 sales and service locations. Recent investments aim to enhance showrooms and service facilities, including new sites in Guildford, Bristol, and South Dublin. A new parts warehouse is also under construction in Didcot, Oxfordshire, to replace the aging Beenham site.

Porsche is also focused on training the next generation, with around 200 apprentices being developed through a dedicated center at its Reading headquarters, covering various roles in service and parts. Krishan Bodhani, CEO of Porsche Cars GB, emphasized the brand's adaptability to customer needs over the past 75 years, highlighted by the introduction of models like the 911 Turbo S and the Cayenne Electric.
