Written with artificial intelligence.

Abt Sportsline has enhanced the Audi RS5, unveiling the RS5-R with 709 horsepower and a price tag nearing $200,000. Only 130 units will be produced, available in both sedan and Avant styles.
Abt's Performance Upgrade
Abt Sportsline has transformed the Audi RS5 into the powerful RS5-R, boasting an impressive 709 horsepower. This special edition is particularly noteworthy in its Avant wagon variant, which Abt claims is the standout model. Only 130 examples will be produced, split between sedan and Avant configurations.
Pricing and Modifications
The conversion to the RS5-R comes with a hefty price tag of €65,000 (approximately $72,500) for the Avant, while the sedan conversion starts at €62,000 (about $69,000). This is in addition to the cost of the base Audi RS5. Buyers should also anticipate additional expenses for installation, paint work, and the mandatory TUV inspection, which can total around €7,160 ($8,000) for the sedan and €7,600 ($8,500) for the Avant. Overall, customers could expect the total cost to exceed €180,000, roughly $200,000.
Power and Performance Specs
The RS5-R's upgrades include Abt's Power S software, elevating the engine's output from 583 hp to a total of 709 hp, with torque increasing from 443 lb-ft to 502 lb-ft. The combined torque with the electric motor totals approximately 667 lb-ft. While Abt has not released new 0-60 mph times, the increased power is likely to enhance acceleration. The RS5-R maintains a top speed of about 177 mph.
Exclusive Features and Future Plans
Visually, the RS5-R doesn't shy away from its performance identity, featuring enhancements like a front spoiler, louvered front fenders, and unique side skirts in carbon fiber. The Avant variant also includes a distinct rear wing. Inside, the vehicle features exclusive touches such as badges indicating its limited production run.
Abt is already planning a follow-up upgrade scheduled for 2027, which is set to push the power output closer to 800 hp, alongside the introduction of a specially developed titanium exhaust system. Pricing details for this upcoming package have yet to be announced.
