The Bugatti Brouillard, an exceptionally rare hypercar, has recently been delivered to its owner during the 2026 Arts & Elegance event at Château de Chantilly. Notably, this marks the first vehicle created under Bugatti’s new bespoke division, Programme Solitaire, which allows customers to design a one-off Bugatti from scratch.

The Significance of the Brouillard

The Brouillard stands out for two primary reasons:

• Bespoke Nature: It is the inaugural model from the Programme Solitaire, with Bugatti planning to produce only two unique cars annually.
• Engine Specifications: It is expected to be the last Bugatti featuring the iconic W16 engine, as future models will utilize a new V16 engine introduced in the Tourbillon.

While the company may not produce more W16 models, the bespoke nature of the program leaves room for potential future one-off creations.

The Owner

Michel Perridon, the buyer of the Brouillard, is recognized for owning the largest private collection of Bugattis. He acquired this unique hypercar for $20 million, making it the most expensive Bugatti ever sold. The Brouillard's exclusivity places it among Bugatti’s elite offerings, alongside other limited editions such as the Bugatti Centodieci and the Bolide, which, while also expensive, pale in comparison to the Brouillard's price tag.
