The 2004 Ferrari Enzo, finished in a distinctive Matte Nero Opaco, is not just another supercar; it is a rare collectible that is making its way back to auction. This particular unit is unique as it was originally commissioned by a member of the Brunei royal family and boasts an exceptionally low mileage of only 5,763 km.
Design and Specifications
Unveiled in 2002, the Ferrari Enzo was designed by Pininfarina and was meant to represent the pinnacle of Ferrari's road car technology. Only 399 units were produced, with an additional unit sent to the Vatican. While most were painted in traditional Ferrari colors, this Enzo's matte black finish sets it apart, making it the only one delivered with this specific factory color.
Restoration and Certification
In 2022, the Enzo underwent a comprehensive restoration at Carrozzeria Zanasi, the workshop known for handling Ferrari's most special projects. This restoration, costing over €110,000, included replacing various components and repainting the car to restore its original matte finish. Additionally, Ferrari Classiche has certified the car's original chassis, engine, and body, ensuring its authenticity as a unique piece.
Performance and Auction Details
Underneath its striking exterior lies a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 engine producing 651 hp and 485 lb-ft of torque, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 3.3 seconds, with a top speed nearing 350 km/h. The Enzo will be auctioned by RM Sotheby’s between September 23 and September 30, 2026, though no price estimate has been released yet.
